SYNOPSIS

Eli, an emerging artist in Los Angeles, lands a potential career-defining opportunity
when a senior curator from The Broad Museum shows interest in his work. As he begins painting the most important piece of his life, his estranged father, Dave, battling untreated schizophrenia, returns unexpectedly. Hoping to help but fearing disruption, Eli takes him in.
But old wounds reopen. As Dave’s behavior becomes erratic, Eli isolates him in a locked room, retreating deeper into his artistic obsession. As the painting nears completion, Eli’s grip on empathy, reality, and self begins to erode.
The Spiral is a haunting exploration of inherited trauma,
blurred morality, and the cost of turning pain into art.
